Earlswood Hungry Horse

The Hungry Horse store is based on Woodfield Farm in the accessible rural outskirts of Solihull. The family run business has been farming since 1959 and the animal feed store has been supplying animal feed and pet supplies in Solihull and the surrounding areas for over 25 years. We’re passionate about animals and believe in providing the very best products and supplies that help your animals to be in the best of health, happiness, and to thrive all year round.

As pet and livestock owners ourselves we know that if your animals are happy, you’re happy.

We carry a wide range of animal feed and supplements for all life stages of horse, poultry, livestock and pets.

If smaller animals are your thing, then you will find a range of pet supplies, feed and accessories for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and birds – and if we don’t have it in stock, we will do our best to get it for you!

Sophie

I had my first Pony when I was three years old and the rest is history! I’m still just as short as I was then which means many more years riding ponies!
I also have a Whippet puppy who i love to take for walks.
I started working at the Hungry Horse in September 2020, a few weeks after my 18th birthday. I really enjoy working here. It’s the kindest, most fun place I’ve ever worked and talking about horses all day is definately a bonus. Whilst working at Hungry Horse I have been fortunate enough to gain some nutrition training with Horse feed brands such Allen and Page, Baileys, Omega, TopSpec, Saracen, Agrifence, Hestevard and NAF.

George

Hi, I’m George and I have been around horses for well over 20 years.

I currently have 2 horses that i like to do a lot of liberty with, along with riding and leading so that we can all get out together!

At The Hungry Horse I have been fortunate to have had training with Allen & Page, NAF, Baileys, Agrifence, Omega, Saracen, TopSpec and Hestevard. I am very interested in animal nutrition – especially in terms of herbs and supplements; and subsequently their effects on the horses health and behaviour.

Hi, I’m Sue. I have worked at the Hungry Horse for 18 years as a Sales Assistant, offering feed and nutrition advice. I have a good knowledge of care for horses, dogs, and cats having owned my own over the years. During my time at the Hungry Horse I have had training in nutrition with Allen and Page, Baileys and NAF.

Hi, i’m Vicky. I have been working at The Hungry Horse for almost two years now. I have a keen interest in poultry as i own two Chickens. I also have a puppy Golden Retriever – and so, am knowledgeable about all things canine! Feel free to ask me any questions and i am always available to lend a hand with anything you may need.

Dogs and horses have always been a big part of my life, owning my first horse at the age of 11.
My family and I currently have two horses, two dogs and two bee hives!
I have experience working in the human medicine industry, and now I am excited to expand my knowledge in equine nutrition and herbal remedies.
Throughout my time at HH i have already received training with NAF, Allen & Page, Omega, Saracen and Baileys.

Kristal

Hi my name is Kristal, I started riding at a local riding school at 6 years old. Soon after I was lucky enough to get my first pony who I had for over 10 years! I have recently completed studying Horse Management at Moreton Morrell College.
I have been working here for almost 2 years with training by the likes of Allen & Page which has helped me expand my knowledge on all things Equine.
I will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have.

Hi my name is Jonathan and i work mainly in the barn. Although you will see me in the shop from time to time. Feel free to ask me any questions and i am always on hand to help with any heavy items!

In my spare time i enjoy going to watch football.

And not forgetting Holly.
She first “moved in” to the Hungry Horse over Christmas 2014, although she had been scoping us out for some time before that.
It took a little while for her to warm up to us all but living in a feed store has it’s benefits – which she has quickly worked out. And well… she’s been the boss ever since!
